The FAMU Rattlers men’s basketball team picked up their first road win of the 2021-22 season by defeating SWAC foe Arkansas-Pine Bluff, yesterday, 71-66 in overtime. With the win, the Rattlers are now on a two game winning streak for the first time this season.
The Rattlers who had to fight to fight back from a 10 point deficit with 13 minutes left in the game fought back to bring the deficit to 5 with 2:20 minutes left in the game, before pulling even with 1:41 left in the game. Both teams failed to capitalize on their shots and sent the game into overtime.
The Rattlers had three players score in double figures, led by MJ Randolph, who had 25 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 steals; DJ Jones with 14 points, 11 rebounds, and 1 blocks; and Johnny Brown with 12 pts, and 4 rebounds.
