FAMU Board Chair Challis Lowe is apparently having an "out of body" experience, either that or she's just not that in touch with reality. Her recent comments concerning FAMU's response to the recent audit makes us think, *WTF* was she thinking?Lowe told the Tallahassee Democrat,"this is the best audit response I've seen since I've been on the board. Things are not as dire as we thought in the preliminary audit''.
Lowe also probably thinks there is an $8 million surplus sitting around somewhere.
She should probally have waited to see what state auditors think about FAMU's responses to the audit first before commenting. Particularly given, Cast-hell and her crew's propensitity to play foot loose and fancy free with the facts.

ReplyDeleteWord on the street is that, all is not well in Nashville (at Dollar General) for Lowe these days because of all of the negative press that she's generated in the media. We have alumni there that can shake trees, too.

Challis had to have a mind, first and foremost, before she lost it. I don't think the woman knows her arse from a hole in the ground. What's the deal with Dollar General in Nashville?
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, a draft of FAMU's 40-page response to the state audit shows that it concurs with 24 of the auditor general's 35 preliminary recommendations. But university officials also offer detailed and sometimes highly technical explanations to many findings.

ReplyDeleteFAMU law school - a disaster. The bar passage rates are out. FAMU is second to last at 52.4%. The state average is 70.9% FIU, established the same year as FAMU, is first ion the state, with 94.4%. Why are so many FAMU students failing the bar exam? This is embarassing. Ammons must take charge.
