FAMU laying new turf for football practice field

The FAMU Rattlers will have a smooth, level and posh surface for field drills when the football season begins in August.  As part of an upgrade process, the grass (pictured above) has been removed in order to clear the way for the new prescription natural turf.

During the spring, the iconic video platform that towered over the fields for decades was removed.  It will eventually be rebuilt with a new structure. For the time being a lift similar to the kind used on game days will be used for the video coordinator and his crew.
