The Florida A&M Rattler football team fell to 2-3 on the season yesterday after dropping a 27-23 decision in the Circle City Classic yesterday.
Five first-half fumbles, including two that led to Winston-Salem touchdowns, led to the Rattlers demise Saturday, along with poor play calling by FAMU coaches. The Rattlers gave over 200 yards rush, 296 yds to be exact on 63 attempts, for the umpteeth time.
The undisciplined Rattlers were also penalized eight times for 65 yards, to WSSU's 26 yard and three penalties.
The victory gave Winston-Salem its first victory ever over the Rattlers, as the team have only played twice.
The crowd of around, 43,000, was also the largest that WSSU has ever played in front of.

Carter needs to fire his whole coaching staff...hell, he might even need to fire himself.

ReplyDeleteCoach Carter sucks!
if that was 43,000 people, I'm the King of England.
ReplyDeleteCoach Carter's style of coaching must be given a chance. I am not impressed with his style, but I'm willing to give him a chance.
ReplyDeleteAre there any renderings of the new teaching gym?
ReplyDeleteThey will beat NC A&T and probably Morgan State. I really can't believe they lost to Winston. I am from NC and now I have to hear all my WSSU friends talk trash.

hey im an old snake 1993 graduate. its deeper than carter. we fired the best coach we've ever had (billy joe)and then named him to the sports hall of fame. name a coach that has ever been fired from their respective post and then placed in that school's hall of fame. on top of that the most prolific player of his era (robert wilson) has not been inducted to the hall of fame yet.
ReplyDeleteim going to stop sending my donations.
That picture is so appripo! dropped balls all day long!
ReplyDeleteIn reference to Billy Joe being inducted into the FAMU Sports Hall of Fame, we all know that was some sort of reconciliationa agreement from FAMU to Billy Joe... especially since the induction happened so FAST! We also know at the rate Rubin Carter is going, he won't be close!!
ReplyDeleteim going to stop sending my donations.

Should you really choose to stop sending donations, then that's your decision. Many of the monies hopefully are going towards scholarships. However, FAMU should be about the needs of the students and not about the actions of a football coach.
see that's the problem if we allow athletic donations to remain the athletic department our program would not be in this situation we allow athletes who have gone on to pursue proffesional careers to donate money but they are not allowed to specify where it is to be spent it is spent on academics if we let academics take care of themselves our facilities would have been upgraded long ago
