Kristin Harper, a former FAMU SGA Vice President, who earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from the School of Business and Industry was appointed to the FAMU Board of Trustees last week by the Florida Board of Governors (FLBOG).
Harper currently serves as global vice president, Wound Care and Thermal, at Cardinal Health in Dublin, Ohio.
She is appointed to serve the remainder of the term of trustee Harold Mills, which expires in January 2021.  Mills, a successful Orlando, FL, businessman, recently resigned from the BOT, when he was appointed to the board of trustees at the University of Central Florida.
The Florida BOG also reappointed Nicole Washington to a five-year term on FAMU’s board of trustees.

The FAMU BOT still has two vacancies on it. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has yet make any appointments to replace Mathew Carter who resigned in September, and Ret. Air Force General Gary McCoy resigned from the Board in August 2017.  Both cited health reasons at the time of their resignations.
