In a high-stakes showdown at the SWAC tournament on Friday night, the FAMU Rattlers baseball team faced a tough defeat, falling 9-3 to the Grambling Tigers. The loss sets up a critical rematch today, marking the third consecutive day the Rattlers will compete against the Tigers, with the winner advancing to the SWAC Championship game on Sunday, May 26.

The Rattlers struggled to find their rhythm early in the game, which at times resembled a chess match between two determined teams. Grambling got on the board early scoring one run in the first inning and held the lead until the Rattlers scored three runs on a Sebastian Greco homer in the bottom of the sixth. The Tigers, however, responded scoring six runs in the top of the seventh.

Today's rematch between the Rattlers and the Tigers promises to be an intense contest, with both teams vying for a spot in the coveted SWAC Championship game. FAMU will need to regroup and bring their best performance to the field if they hope to turn the tide and keep their championship dreams alive.

The game is set to take place at 3 PM ET at Russ Chandler Stadium in Atlanta.
