For the second consecutive year all 12 of FAMU’s regular-season football games will be televised live during the 2025 season, offering fans unprecedented access to watch the Rattlers. The broadcast lineup includes marquee matchups on the ESPN networks, the newly launched SWAC TV, and HBCU Go TV, underscoring the Rattlers’ growing national profile.
The season opens with a high-stakes showdown at the Orange Blossom Classic against Howard University on August 30, airing live on ESPNU at 4 p.m. ET. This marks the fourth year the OB game will headline ESPN’s college football coverage, spotlighting HBCU excellence.
The comprehensive coverage signals a milestone for FAMU and HBCU athletics. "This visibility is transformative," said a university spokesperson. "It allows alumni nationwide to connect with the team and showcases our program’s excellence to recruits."
FAMU’s schedule features five games on ESPN networks, four on SWAC TV, and three on HBCU Go TV, ensuring broad accessibility for fans. The enhanced exposure reflects the SWAC’s expanded media partnerships, along with SWAC TV debuting this year as a dedicated platform for conference athletics.
